Hey now, be careful with the pictures! I have some world renowned gear whores who live near me, and the last thing I need for them to see these pictures and be showing up on my door step! =)

Absolutely beautiful. I can't wait to see it in person.

What wt/length/blank did you build it on?

What are the pros and cons of the eva instead of cork?

EVA holds up a lot better in the salt

I picked this rod up from Tyler today, and all I can say is Wow! He does some amazing work! When I first looked at it I thought it was amazing, but then later on the more I admired it the more I really noticed the attention to detail. Simply beautiful. I cast it for a minute in his front yard, and it feels amazing. I'm hoping to get out in the morning and really give it a work out. This will really be the perfect SRC/rezzie rod for me. Thanks again Tyler!

Fished the rod on a local beach for a few hours this morning. At first I tried it with one of Justin's WF 5 lines, which it did not like one bit. After that I threw a 6 wt Outbound which was much better, but I'm thinking perhaps just a tad much. I'm contemplating a 5 wt Outbound, or something similar. So many options! Anyhow, I had a few hits but did not get to feel a fish on the rod, which was a bummer. Over all though I really love it, and I think once I find the right line its going to be a dream to fish. Very light in the hand. Absolutely no fatigue from casting this rod. Its definitely the type of rod that sorta casts itself. When I'd try to force the issue too much it would start to get a little sassy, but when I just stepped back and let it do it's thing it was perfect. I love the EVA, feels great in the hand. I was sorta wondering if it would feel soft of squishy when it got wet, but not at all. Great stuff.

I'll give you more feedback once I find a line that I like on it. Hopefully I'll get to feel a fish on it soon. I have a feeling its going to be a blast for 12" cutties.
