My wife had one done earlier this year. Good results. Hope you have the same kind of experience.
Which glue, Gorilla or Elmers, nice to hear about successful surgery,
Do you have that machine you lay your leg in and it slowly flexs up? I did that machine for about three weeks every day and I pushed the envelope on time and degrees. It was boring having to sit for two four hour sessions in that machine but worth it in the end. If I remember correctly I was at about 110 degree flexion at about two or three weeks, but that was with the "merchants of pains" (Physical Therapists) pushing and there was a small amount of pain. I used to look forward to the ice pack and the end of PT.
I am pretty sure it was super glue, Daryle. I think I heard them ask a nurse to run down to 7-11 to get another couple of tubes. They were debating that or the "end of life" counseling...
Of course, the big question now is, "Will you be able to play the piano?"
Glad your recovery is going well. I only got to 100-degrees but I had tendon damage in 1989 that skews the results.
By the way my doc said that the flex machines are not used much any more but they decided to do it with me and I think it really helped.
The pain lady only really scares me when she brings out the ropes!
Congrats Citori! Glad to read it's going so well.
