Hello, I just got into fly fishing last year and love it. I am 38 with a wife and kids in north Kirkland so limited time as everyone does. First off, thank you: this forum is amazing and have been researching and reading it. I have my grandfather's old rod: the avid angler thinks it is a 6 or 7 weight. they put a sinking line on it. I have an old tube I float to practice. I have heard the Cedar River is terrific and curious what is the best place I should try where I would not get in anyone's way? I don't want to be splashing and hacking around experienced people. I am reading a lot of Mr Jim Speaker's very helpful posts. Also, what are the first few places in Wasshgtinon I should go as a newbey? Lakes and rivers? I am saving for a five weight. I apologise if posted to wrong forum or subforum. Thanks again.
