Summer Run steelhead are calling this week and I just finished polishing out a new rod. Hope to give it a good workout in the next couple of days.
I designed the taper to throw an 8 wt line. I put a line to it this afternoon and it seemed to like it quite well. Jim
Congratulations on a stunning rod. By coincidence, I am having Chris Carlin make me an 8 1/2 ft 7/8 wt 3 pc rod for summer run fishing as well. I also plan to use it in the fall for Atlantic Salmon in New Brunswick.
