From lurking for awhile and reading lots of posts, I know I'll get varied responses, but that is informative.

I picked up a TFO Professional 11' 5 weight, and I'm wondering how to line it to cast two-handed to nymph, and swing on a full floater.

    5/6 Rio Switch?
    7 weight 40+?
    other choices?

Thanks for any and all advice.

    nymphing: 7wt 40+
swing: my guess is about a 360 or so compact skagit

Glad to hear that you picked up this rod. It is one of my favorites as it is very user friendly and can be used on multiple species. I have used skagit and scandi heads from 280 to 350 grains with great success. The other line that I liked on this rod is the Ambush 290 grain (8WT) and fished it both with and without sinking heads. A good friend of mine swears by the 40+ for the rod. I think that you will like it better with heads under 45'. Good luck.
