Anybody see the plumb up around what appeared to be Whites pass this evening? Anybody know what that was? Seemed out of place to be a cloud.

Last night the Chelan fire was putting up a big plume of smoke, little wind and it went pretty much straight up, 30,000 ft. or more I think. Depending on your location visible for a long ways. I'm 60-75 air miles or more and it was way up there, typical grayish-blue.

No offense intended, but in the evening the smoke plume bore a slight resemblance to the guy in left hand corner of your post, at least viewed from our place.

My read is that it was a message from Natives to non-Natives. I think it said, "Get out of Dodge."
