(NFR) Sundial help

    Ok, here's a weird one-- anyone know how to correctly place a sundial for our area (Oregon)?

    Got this big ol thing as gift from a friend down there in the Southern Oceans

    After reading this you may decide to use the sundial as an additional boat anchor, but give this a quick look:

    Seems if you want to do it the easy way just point it at true north. If you want it to really tell time you have to tilt it to adjust for latitude.

    I believe that this is the only way for Davy to tell time. Because he is never on time for anything. :p :p :p :p

    Ok, I think I will take the boat anchor route. Both Jim's seem to be correct here.
