Almost went with a married wing (thinking royal blue and kingfisher blue in alternating three fiber bands, topped by natural turkey), but when I sized up the Peacock as a wing, it spoke to me. And I love Peacock "hackles" and I know fish do too. Anyway...I think it's pretty fun. I think the tall wing will flutter quite will in the water. I may tie it taller next time. Less aesthetic, but probably more action on the swing. Photo Jan 25, 10 17 30 AM.jpg

How about the (twelth man) in honor of a fine Seahawks season? Beautiful fly!

It did occur to me it seemed "Seahaw-like." 12th man sounds pretty cool to me :)

    Few notes:

but/tag is fine silver, round tinsel and chartreuse floss.
Blue dyed GP crest for the tail.
Black ostrich for the...whatever that collar at the end is called.
    Blue diamond braid body
    Rib is cheap brass wire
Tied in a pair of Peacock hackles as an under-wing
    Hackle is black Schlappen
Wing is more peacock hackles, one side stripped about 2/3 of the way.
    Thread is 12/0 veevus.
