I got a old bamboo rod I wanted to put new guides, handle, and new varnish. Anybody out there could do this for a reasonable price. I've been dreaming about using this rod for 3 years.
Welllll...what's reasonable? Talk to whoever you choose,you can go from not bad to WTF in a hurry with hardware choices and varnish/wrap designs.....You may want to think about weather this stick is worth it or are you putting lipstick on a pig? I found a varnish peeling Phillipson Power Pakt at a yard sale and spent a 'reasonable' amount on it and it's a great stick...The fellow who did the work was Bill Vincent 206-979-3218. He's a snowbird,so may not be in town yet....
