Opinions on Suction Dredge Mining

    Whats ridiculous is the fact that comments like these^ are the ones that the OP will probably listen to, instead of the tons of knowledge that has been posted. I'm sure the Gold Prospectors Association of America has nothing but great things to say about dredging. Kinda like asking PETA whether or not eating animals is healthy for humans.

    GPAA is great you can get alot of info on how to do it right,
    also check out the prospecting clubs where you can work on the clubs claim. away from the creek
    most of the floating dredges are to big for small water (creeks). if you don't want to impact the fish check into a High Banker and use it away from the creek.i like the High Banker because you can work away from the stream in an old channel where it used to flow long ago.
    if you do work in a creek make sure you are aware of spawning times.
    have fun and clean up after yourself, also carry a bottle for the mercury recovery you will remove from the beds, then turn it in for proper disposal.some of the refinery's will do this or
    local haz mat can do this also
