Two anglers on almost a hundred acres. I think my luck was pretty damn good. Caught more than expected, got good and rain soaked after the whole day of rain off and on. New water, new WFF friend, new species. Tough to beat that much awesomeness in Skagit County!

Unlike Ford_Fenders who seems to only use his net for very large fish 'bows and all browns. I use mine for all fish. I lack his skills...but I'm learning.

In the report! This was sort of an I'm going, hoping that some others would show up. The lake is plenty large enough for company. There are not many pictures though, only two.

OK so what is the real report there, what did you have luck with, how many did you catch, stuff like that. We want your knowledge there Mumbles.

Better ask that of Mr. Ford_Fenders. He fished circles around me. My pal Trout Master had tied up some small rabbit strip leeches for me and gave me some extra strips. I tied up a half dozen or so that were about twice as long at Trout Masters (his were for a different lake and the size is perfect for that lake) Mine worked, but not like Ford_Fenders.

I tried dries, emgergers and chironomids all briefly, got no love. I kept coming back to my pale rabbit strip leech pattern and the fish kept giving me postive feedback. I missed a ton of strikes. Some hit and runs before I could even get a strip set or rod tip lift. Others that I timed well that could have been short strikes. I think my rabbit strip leeches were a touch too long.

That is all I've got man, not much more in my brain nugget than that. It worked for me that day for a few fish. Brought me my first two browns. It is always better to be lucky than good. I was lucky!

Thanks I can always use the knowledge. Pass is a humbling lake. I will let you know how I do tomorrow.
