Use streamers, such as large muddlers and bunny leachs.

the only fly you need on pass is a white wooley bugger... sleep in, get there late, and cast it to the banks...... hold on tight.... big browns are coming.... and yes, use a floating like so you can watch and enjoy

chronies havent been working lately. Its been a while since ive caught anything fishing one with an indicator. If i could figure out why my pics wont show up, i would post up a fly that i just tied up the other day and absolutely slayed them on on sunday. But basically its a #8 with a sparkly body, white rabbit strip, flashy stringy stuff and silver dumbbell eyes. Casted into the bank and stripped like a bat outta hell and they just slam it. If im not fishing that way, its sinking line and slow stripping a leech/wooly booger on the bottom which also works very well. Its just getting the color right.

Uh huh. Big flies = big fish. Big streamers in the dark of night gets em. Big trouts get big by eating at night. Did I mention big flies that push lots of water around?

Shoud be at its absolute peak right now so throw whatever the hell you have. November characteristics at Pass include widespread location of fish and all-day activity. Try to go mid-week unless you really enjoy bumper cars.

with my experience, it's been less what fly, and more what color i used. anything in olive, and anything in white.

streamers are best right now, cast up against shore, then strip the line erratically, the browns are up shallow feeding on fathead minnows, so anything that roughly imiates fathead minnows will be successful.

I dont know if anyone else has had success with this but i was there about 2 months ago and used a size 16 adams dry casting towards shore and got 5 bows 20-27 in. My friend caught a big brown on a olive bunny leach. Good Luck!

I love dry fly fishing at pass... I've had the same experience sprintcar13. I like casting a smallish dry to either fish circling the top or blind to holding areas.

I don't think I saw it yet in this thread, so I'll add the Carey Special. At least I've heard it's good there.
