    Looking for a quality stillwater fishery in a mountain setting for a few days of fall fishing. Have a WM & all the fly gear. Feel free to PM if you don't want to post.

    Like to camp onsite.

    If you're willing to travel to Maupin, get a hold of Deschutes Angler. Not sure about the camping on site but they have a lot of lakes to choose from.

    This may not be helpful info but I typically travel to eastern ID or southwest MT for the same reasons . . . but fish public water. Nice camping, quiet waters and big fish.

    Lake Chopaka meets your criteria - expcept the pay part. but you will part with plenty of your money because of the gas needed to cover the distance traveled.
    I'm going to be there next week and can pass on what worked for us - no charge......
    and what you can expect to to pay for gas if you drive a suburban

    Same thought here.

    Darc did say the rainbows should be good sized and I think he opens it up again after the 8th.

    Who's doing the gigs at Isaac's these days...? Darc? I first went there back when George Cook was doing the guiding. "thin mint...gotta have it..." was his mantra back then.

    According to that feature article in NW Flyfishing awhile back there's a few pig browns in there.
