Perhaps you can help identify a rod blank manufacturer.

    Steve Gotshall, a local rod builder-custom fly line maker, got his hands on some late 1980's 11' 3" fiberglass blanks that he's building out as 'switch rods.' Casting different lines the rods appear to be a 7wt.

    Now here's the rub. No markings on any of the blanks identifying who built same. But I'm thinking something that long/time frame would have had a very limited number of potential manufacturers.

    Any ideas?

    Can you give some detail? Are the blanks yellow or maybe brown. Are they ferruled? Pix and details will help.

    Also, do you know their original intention (surf rod, etc)?

    Walker built fiberglass switch rods in 2pc configurations back in the 70's. I agree a photo and color would help.
