Pimped-Out Miyawaki Popper.
Cheers to you Leland!
cirle hook, interesting choice...
ide cut the front hook off and paint a little red under the head at the back. Great looking fly!!!
Roger that Rogers....the front hook is just for holding it in the vice.
The pimped out bit is the Rainy pop head...its painted using a technique called stippling.
Very nice Big E, but will the fish care
Nice, this will get destroyed.
how does that peacock hold up on those?
Just long enough to do the deed.
It holds up ok...the pattern itself is pretty well tried, true and tested around here.
The bottom is stippled as well...very light yellow, gray. IMO, I think the color and design will make a difference over straight white. One only has to look at the color variations of rapalas or bass poppers to make the connection.
Hey! I must have missed the post. I'll go back and see.
Miyawaki Pimp Popper!
Let me know how this works. I may bring in 12 dozen to the shop!
Just needs some spinners for the eyes and it would be super pimped out! :clown:
Seagulls will take that on the surface. Nice work!
but why the circle hook?
i used to use #4 owner mosquito and then i ran out and started using a #2 owner mosquito and WOW!!!! i land way more fish on the surface now then i did, i used to just be a searching fly for me but now its a main tactic
Better and safer hookups...sure the gap is reduced but you can always go to a bigger hook as you did.
 Oh that's perfect!!
And some gold wire for the grillz and it's all set
Big E, that is some nice artwork on the foam.
Heck, some salt and pepper and I might eat it..
I'll happily pick up a few free samples for testing Big-E, I'll make sure there's photographic evidence!
