I have come to reason while fishing the beaches that most salmon take your fly in the 15 to 20 feet range sure you catch some salmon way out there but most of the time the salmon will follow your fly so its best to strip your fly all away to your feet. this year i came up with a new stripping method. I cast my fly and let it sink down for about 5 seconds and then i start stripping at a medium pace then i stripping as fast as i can allaway to my feet. I caught 2 pinks 5 feet away from me. and then i lost 2 salmon that almost ran into me. TIGHT LINES
