Post your Scud fly patterns

    I found these little flies fun to tie and there is so many ways to tie them. Lets see your Scuds!

    Here's mine I just tied a few minutes ago. It's one of my favorite looking flies I have tied so far.

    you know I probably have at least 12 dozen scud patterns that look real cool......but in truth none of them work any better than the Trueblood's otter shrimp that I first tied....maybe the pregnant shrimp.....this is one pattern that I just don't have a "go to" choice on, I've tried to warm up to the new patterns but never found one that I thought was doing the job....am I just out of touch???

    and one like i normally tie but with a little build up sally on the back and a hackle quill for the rib.

    I'm don't tie flies but what kind of water, conditions, seasonalities do you use these flies as I've never used a scud pattern. Thanks for any insights...
