Thought I'd post a positive experience.

Sent my rod to Winston for repair after busting the snake gude on a overhanging tree limb during a hook set. Was quoted something like 4-6 weeks or so. Begrudgingly (is this a word?) unpacked the backup rod. However, my rod arrived the other day after two weeks. That's crazy! I'm a happy man!

I've never dealt with them. So what was the problem in the past?

Yes they are. I broke my IIx 8wt twice, and had it back in under 4 weeks. The great thing is, I didn't even have it registered but they were able to double check where I bought it, and registered it them.
