Purple Rubberlegs?

Howdy-

Im filling up the "junk box", and am wondering if anyone has had luck with trout eating Pat's Rubberlegs tied in purple? Might be interesting.

You must have seen a recent fly tying show.

Nope, no tv here. Just goofing around at the vise today.

A show from the other day had a purple colored Pat's stone with different colored rubber legs.

Well whatever color you use, they gotta have jimmy legs, otherwise the fish wont eat them

I've tried fishing one that's purple with pink legs. No luck so far, but I'm the world's worst nympher.

Other purple flies seem to work great so it can't hurt to try.

i thought i was the worlds worst nympher. purple is a great fish color as is white. we use a little purple nymph for steel on the methow with success. mike w

If you are not catching fish when nymphing. You are either not on the bottom or there aren't any fish where you are fishing at, or your using the wrong color. Or you just suck at fishing.

I'll admit that you might be worse than I am, but your use of the word success and nymphing in the same post indicates that you're not.
