    A hatchery fish is a hatchery fish no matter how you look at it, they are live stock. To kill wild fish to make live stock is wrong ( unless it's the last arrow in the quiver).

    Certainly not the intention, but the primary reason after having participated for several years, I began to oppose the Green River Wild Steelhead capture program that the WDFW, Green River and So King County Steelhead Chapters, and tribe ran for a number of years... just too many fish being lost that might have otherwise done OK on their own. We then tried the weir/trap at the diversion dam and trucking them to the upper watershed... but w/o commitment and funding to improve HH's downstream passage, that too was ill fated.

    You can spread a pile of crap all around, but at the end of the day, it still stinks.
