Heading to Florida in May and will be fishing 6-8 of water and the surf and currently all I have is a floating tropical clouser line and I am not really wanting to buy another spool and line for this one trip. Can I get by with a furled leader or should I think about getting a 15' mini sink tip or a shooting line?

I’ve been using Airflow clear intermediate ‘Saltwater’ Poly Leaders for a few years and have been very happy with them. They only make the ‘Saltwater’ Poly Leader (really a mini tip) in floating and intermediate densities. If you feel you need something that sinks a little more, consider one of their ‘Steelhead’ Poly Leaders.
The 10’ intermediate Saltwater leader with 4’-6’ of Fluorcarbon tippet is easily my favorite Bonefish leader.
