i'm thinking of buying me a toon but was wanting to hear from those who happen to fish alone sometimes and if you had a hard time getting a ride back to your truck after your float? To me, it seems my mind would always be on getting that ride, while i'm fishing and i tend to think that it would be a decent size distraction while fishing. was wondering if it would be worth it? Guess i'll want to save some money if i do buy, and get a decent 8'

You can hitch, pay for a shuttle, drop a bike or scooter at the take out or coordinate with other float fishy peeps.

If you're not floating with someone else who's driving, just arrange for a shuttle with a local flyshop. It's no different than floating in a boat, it's nice to have your vehicle waiting for you at the take out. Besides, I would never try to hitch a ride with the people you find hanging out at boat launches, some of those people are truly insane!
