Fishing in Yellowstone one evening, a caddis hatch seemed to be petering out (at least they started ignoring all the caddis flies I threw at them) but the fish were still rising. Sat down along the bank and just watched, hoping to see what was going on and after a few minutes I noticed a few Yellow Sallies crawling on me; tied one on and had an hour of real good fishing until the light was completely off the water (forgot that the regs say fishing ends at sunset). Lots of good Sally patterns out there, this one's fun to tie and just a bit different; the hackle stem/Uni-stretch body kinda glows (although it doesn't show up well in these pics).
