Gotta say I really like the random images that showed up in the forum section a while back. I'm not one to go digging through the Gallery, but I seem to always see something that interests me in the random shots, which pulls me into the Gallery.

Another nice addition to the site. Good thinking, Chris.

    Thanks TDub.

Just added another feature. Check the link bar for 'Members World Map'. Visually plots where the members / visitors are at.

    Regards,

That's a nice map but what would be really neat is that you could pinpoint as to where we each live at. I know thats asking alot but there are some maps out there that you can do that on.

Agreed Jim. I'll look into it.

I'd also like to see the breakout of where everyone is at with a WA specific map, showing more detail.

Chris, that world map feature has got to be one of the coolest things I've seen. Now if we all get micro-chipped like dogs... Hmmmmm!

That's one of the coolest features that I have seen on a vB forum. Good job!

I would like to be able to zoom in though. Or at least have the Washington specific map as you mentioned.

    Very cool!
It's pretty impressive how many people across the country are members.

What you're seeing is just those that have posted in the last few months. I may expand it out to display everyone in a second image.

I like that its displaying recent posts (in the last few months). It sort of indicates that these are the active members of WFF.

As usual, another cool feature. Looks like we're only missing China, Saudia Arabia and Madascar:thumb:

This is wierd: I just created a post about smallmouth fishing on the Yakima this spring. When I came back to the site a few minutes later to read through the other new posts the random gallery pic was worldanglr's photo of a smallie caught on the yakima.

Are those images totally random and that's just a coincidence, or are they connected via keywords or something?

Either way It's a lot harder for me to read through the forum efficiently now, as I'm always clicking over to that gallery page to look at the cool photos that keep popping up. :thumb:

The (Members World Map) is an awesome feature! So does the program get the data from a Mac address or just the address we input for our profile on the site?

It's via IP, checked against a database for location.
