RAW image processing software?

    I believe she has Photo Elements 5 and she said she couldn't convert RAW with it. I haven't checked it out myself. I will check to make sure she has the latest patches for it. I will also check out Irfanview!


    We have a Nikon D80 that we purchased about 4 or 5 years ago now and we have been really happy so far.

    I've been using Irfanview ever since it came out years ago, basically as my catalog tool. If you play with it a little it's pretty good photo editor. Not so many bells and whistles such as photo shop or PSP but does quite a good job.

    Photoshop Lightroom. $100
    Not sure if that is the shelf price as I purchased it through my work and since we are a biz partner with Adobe I get a discount.

    Adobe Lightroom is more like $250 to $300 for the average citizen.
