Hans, is the UV resin worth the price? I've been looking at the stuff and I already have the light for setting the coating but it seems danged expensive. Does it work all that much better than other clear coatings?

Cannot answer that yet, Gene. This is, literally, the first fly I have used the UV resin on - a friend donated a half full bottle of Bug Bond

I know I could have produced the same look with regular clear varnish - but I also know that some other patterns where I would have used thicker 2-component epoxy will be easier, faster and especially 'cleaner', to do with UV resin.

    Stay tuned....

    Cheers,

Well, I guess I'll have to belly up to the bar and buy the stuff. It's weird. I started using UV Knot Sense a few years ago and was wondering if the stuff would work as a clear coat -- now they're selling it as such. I know Knot Sense works quite well.
