Just got a tcx 8119 last week. I am wondering what reels those of you that have one are putting on it. I will be using a momentum lt 5 that I have until I get something different. I have been wanting to get a lamson arx, but the sizes available may be too light or too heavy. any input would be appreciated.

First off, what the heck is this all about:
    .

To your question now, I have that rod and use a Sage 6010. Balances that rod really good and think it's a great match.

What's wrong with the reel you have?

nothing is wrong with the reel I have. I do not know how it will balance with that rod. I use that reel on my z axis 7110, and at some point i will want them both rigged up at the same time. I also would like to use the purchase of the rod as an excuse to purchase more equipment.

Obviously this means that reels that have spools that spin are useless for casting applications.
also thank you for the info

Now we have it. It isn't a matter of need; rather of desire. A man after my own heart.
