Got out a little late in the morning but hooked up with a nice wild coho almost immediately. Let him go but really got me pumped up, I've never hooked up so quickly in the salt. Few minutes later bonked a nice pink and lost another. Good morning, but still not seeing a lot of activity on the beach although this location doesn't have the number of people I'm used too.

Sounds like a great morning. One of my goals this year is to actually release a wild coho. I don't make that many trips, and feel pressure to take home as much fish as I can, so last year kept almost everything that hit the beach, but I'd feel good letting one swim. Maybe release a big wild migratory coho if I can ever catch one.
