Rod Building Class

    Westslope Fly Shop is offering two fly rod building classes. Each consisting of three 2 + hour sessions.The class will be taught by custom rod builder Steve Moran and be held at the Westslope Shop.
    The first class will be January 19th and 26th.
    The second class February 16th and 23rd.
    All Thursday nights.
    The third class of each session will be at Steve's shop by appointment so you can apply the finish with Steve to get a real professional job.
    Equipment will be provided for wrapping your rod and you will be able to take the rod wrapping tool and work on your rod at home.
    Cost of Class $70.00
    Blanks and accessories are available at the shop prices beginning at $100.00.
    If you interested sign up early so we can get your blanks ordered.

    If you have ever wanted to learn how to build a custom fly rod, this is a great opportunity.
    Steve is a good guy and good teacher, and it is just another excuse to hang out at the shop with the guys!

    Have two 4wts in progress (TMF and Cane), that I will never part with (or at least not for the first month or two). My goal is to eventually have several 4wts in cane, graphite, and glass. The glass is next.

    Sooooo tempting. Since I only own 7 or 8 rods, and none are custom built, I am clearly in need. :D

    Wish I lived closer. I have a couple of rods built by Steve Moran, he is a master!!

    January Class is filled. Nice mix of rods A Sage TCX 5wt switch. A 9' five weight. Two 7wt 9'. And a Sage VXP 9' 4wt. And one undecided.
    The next class begins on Feb 16th and we have two signed up so there are 4 slots left...
    We may also do a March class so let me know if you are interested.

    If you do a March class and there is some decent stillwater open, I might just bring the trailer and camp for a week.
