We are tossing the idea of heading to Southern Oregon the first week of October and trying to decide on the Roseburg (Umpqua) or Grants Pass (Rogue) areas.

Will probably hire a guide for a day on either river and then do some exploring the rest of the time, hoping to swing flies on either system for the shore.
As we have never fished this area before, was wondering which area would be recommended, probably cant go wrong with either river, I am thinking, but, putting it out to the masses for assistance.

Also, will be pulling the RV down, any recommendations on RV Parks (gotta have a few creature comforts for 10 days).

    Any guide recommendations?

    Thanks

Spoke with a buddy last night who lives just
north of Grants Pass near Merlin. He reported
two 30+ pound kings taken on quickfish with
herring wrap. He said the river was dropping into
nice shape with weather in the 80's.
