    The Rusty Muddler is a simple no-nonsense muddler style pattern - all work and little flash :cool:

    Rusty Muddler
    Hook: Partridge GS3 #10 (or equivalent streamer hook)
    Thread: Black 6/0
    Body: Brite Blend, burnt orange
    Wing: Lemon woodduck, tied hugging the body
    Head/collar: Deer hair, sparse

    i REALLY like this one Hans, that could very easily be scaled down and be a good caddis pupae to swing as well as the endless color variations.

    I really like how sparse it is. Nice contrast to patterns like the bloody muddler that I have been using.
