Anyone camp there recently? I am taking my 8 year old daughter there for a couple nights and was wondering how the campground in general was and what kind of fishing opportunities I could expect.

I would suggest that you go during the week if possible. Can get loud and busy on weekends. There are some walk in areas that looked pretty nice. Yep, there are fishing ops. I would be prepared to bugs......

a few years ago we went camping there, but with no intent on fishing.
Alot ALOT of free camps along the rivers/streams and up the dirt roads.

There were fish... dont remember the stream though. we were more interested in jumping off the cliffs.

There was a fire in that area a couple years ago too so im not sure what everything is like or exactly what the fire did to the area.

Midnight fishing on Cooper is fun, also there are some nice holes downstream of the CG.
