Recently moved within a few hrs of salmon id, and was wondering if there's any swinging water around that area. To get to stanly, is as long as getting to the clearwater, so may as well go there on that one- 'i hear much of the salmon isn't fly friendly, so just trying to eliminate that area befor going over there-
Any general info would be appreciated-
    PM me-
    Thanks
    Leroy

Go North from Salmon, then take a left at the "town" of North Fork. Head down river. There is some real nice fly water around Shoup. It's up to you to find the good runs and not piss off well-meaning and well-armed gear fishermen. The fishing will stay good for a few more weeks then the river will freeze over. The fishing will get good again after break-up, usually in late Feb.- early March. Have fun. The run is supposed to be HUGE this year. If anything like 2001 it will be epic for 3-7 lb. fish and crowded as hell on weekends.
