Early Saturday morning on my way to the water, I found myself listening to 950kjr NW wild country as I routinely do on Saturday. A topic was brought up about steelhead tending to drop down into estuaries during extreme cold snaps because the salt water tends to be around 10 degrees warmer then fresh. They then began to discuss catching these fish by trolling the shallows with small spoons and flat fish. This was very interesting to me, and I was wondering if anyone has ever caught one of these while fly fishing for SRC or rezzies? Does anyone have any more knowledge about this?
