I am hoping for some assistance on fishing the Narrows area for SRCs. I have spent a few early mornings there and have had no real luck. Large rises, but denial of my varying dries.

I read The Estuary Fly Fisher as recommended in earlier postings and it helped produce rises, but I still need to convert to hookups.

Last weekend was spent at daybreak (~2 hours after a 0.0 low tide) casting dries from the shore and stripping back in at differing speeds. The best approach seemed to be covering more of the beach rather than an individual area.

I have tried both the Gig Harbor side and the Tacoma side to no avail, although I plan to keep working at it as it seems to be improving. The herring casting spinners have had better luck in the area:-(

Anyhow, if you have any pointers, I would appreciate it.
