Leaving Next Thursday for the San Juan Islands Camping. Looking for a few good days of fishing while we are there. Any Suggestions on Maybe some Salty Cutts? Or some Good Walk in Lakes (Not Taking a Boat).

Open for suggestions My Son just started casting a fly.

depends on some factors - which island(s)? will you have access to a boat or kayak?

Lots of hungry Brook Trout at twin lakes in Moran state park on Orcas Island, one of the spots I learned how to fly fish at. Mellow ~2 mile hike in, park at Mountain Lake campground. You might find some pinks off the beach at Obstruction pass. I don't think the san juans have any cutts (or so I've heard). If you have the right gear for it the rockfishing is pretty good up there.
