I am going to be renting a house on Whidbey Island, near Langley, from August 17-24. Any good salt water fishing option that time of the year? The house we are renting is right on the beach and we will have access to a small row boat. We will also have use of a few crab pots, so any hints on how best to utilize those would be very appreciated.

    Thanks in advance.

Let me get this straight. You're throwing a week-long party at your rental on Whidbey for everyone here at WFF? And we're all going to fish for pinks? You're the nicest guy ever! Tell me you've got kegs. Obiwan I'm sure will bring the ladies. This'll be awesome!

Kidding, but keep the thought in mind. . . .
Til then, check out the threads on Pinks.

Please allow me to rephrase...I along with my wife, 4 y.o., 8 week old, and our friends with their 4 y.o. will be renting the house.

Now, to answer your question, there will be mini kegs of homebrew and probably room to throw a sleeping bag on the beach. Let me know!
