Probably been covered here before, but the River Run casting clinics 9-11 on Saturdays at the junction of the Tolt and Snoqualmie are worth going to. Not only did I get a ton of much needed instruction on my spey rod, I got to cast all kinds of other rods, including the Heritages in 13, 14, and 15 foot lengths, a Thomas and Thomas, a custom Meisner, and several others. Plus, I got feedback on my single-handed casting. The best money I haven't spent all year.

Were you that young guy playing around with that single hander that was going with Jack on that Float. If it was you,you should of said something. I was the one that said I was going to throw this damn thing in the river and forget about it.

Young guy? HA! Yes. I was one of the guys going with Jack. Those clinics really helped me nail my spey casts. Plus, where else can you play with heritage rods? Aaron even had me speying that one-handed heritage (of course).
