    A cool pattern from one of the best!! Mr Howells flies are a great source of inspiration.
    Two slight changes to the pattern in that i used a dyed red GP crest for the tail and went with Polar Bear in the wing.

    I like it. Someone will call you a bead fisherman. I like the beads to make the segmented body. Is that just chenile holding the wing and throat materials out?

    Thanks lads.
    Mumbles,, the front section of the body is three seperate Osterich herls tied in and palmered forward. The beads are simply craft beads and are made of glass so no extra weight on this pattern.

    Very nice! With the way it looks in the picture, it seems the ostrich is pretty big to flare out the hackle like that. Makes me think that some peacock wrapped in instead of the ostrich would be awesome with the color of those beads...
