David, busy family weekend for me and you were working on the CCA banquet. I hope that went well. I dropped the SASE and flies into the mail today. You should see them Monday or Tuesday. Thanks for hosting, I hope my sculp nasty is not a disappointment.

Turns out you guys wont be getting my really neat articulated double bunnies.....I tied them all up, sent them out to David with my SASE and all he got was an envelope which looked to be ran over by a truck a thousand times.....oh yea, they had no flies too. :beathead: I am gonna replace the set with some spun deer hair tube flies which should still slay, I dont have enough material and time to go through those god aweful articulated ones again. lol

Have I mentioned how much I detest the Untied States Postal Service? I cannot tell you in less than a thousand words how much they screw me at my residential address with delivery refusals, damaged packages, envelopes and a generally piss poor attitude from the carrier up to the postmaster. I'll save you all the eye strain and leave it at that.

When I host a swap (entered many, hosted nil) I will do a swap that is designed for a face to face exchange of the goodies. A great way to stick it to the USPS and meet others in the driveable area.

it does look like the post office screwwed us on this one but i also encourage you guys to make sure you put your flies in a hard sided container. putting them inside a plain envelope with no padding or protection is asking for disaster.

You are very kind David. These were my first ever attempt at a scupin pattern. I tried to copy a few I've seen. I hope someone will post a report with my fly hanging in some chompers. Thanks for hosting this one, and also for setting up the Kitsap meet and greets.

D3S, I was fishing Cady Lake last Friday. I fished a prototype scuplin pattern late in my stay and it was BIG and FUGLY, brought a 20" rainbow to the net!

No, my first batch never made it through the shitty envelope I sent them in so I had to tie a second set. Sorry for the delay, mine were sent out today.

    Just an update guys...
Waiting on 2 sets that supposedly have been mailed. If they dont get here in the next couple days I will just move on and try to include a couple other flies to fill out the sets.

    As a reminder to all.
Use a hard sided case to send your flies in and a bubble mailer or other secure envelope. Also, a SASE makes life much easier for the person running the swap. If you sign up, please stick to the rules and at the very least include some $ for shipping.
    thanks

David, they were sent 2 weeks ago. if you dont have them now I dont think they will come. Go ahead with out me. I hate the mail, should have handed them to you face to face. If you get them after the swap just keep them.
