+1. I hope you've found a good flask. I've thought about getting one but I allocate the money I have to spend on liquor to a middle shelf Speyside single malt and it wouldn't be as good from a flask.

I have a couple good flasks. I like the Simms flask I received as gift. It has a Derek deyoung brown trout print on it. I rarely carry them though, since an asshole cop gave me an open container ticket for a flask someone else left in my passenger door. If you pack a flask make sure it's in the truck bed or trunk.

Wow, lame. That WAS an asshole cop.

Trip, I'd like to hear the rest of that story. Not doubting the assessment (see what I did there?), but this screams of steamy intrigue!

I have one of these from Dry Fly Distilling in Spokane. It also comes in a one gallon version. Flask-2.jpg

FWIW, I actually tracked down a GSI flask that was hiding in the back of my liquor/glasses cabinet. I also picked up another one of the Nalgene flasks because I realized how handy our first one had been. Not pocket sized, but useful for camping/picnics/etc.

    Be Jofus G,

Do you have a mixer or ice with that or just straight from the jug?

Straight from the jug and onto some cast iron fried cornbread or buckwheat cakes. :) The bottles repurpose well (or so I've been told).

This thread prompted me to hit the FF junk bin and resurrect the old Orvis fly fisherman flask. Glad I did, coming in handy as I scan the rag tonight. It's old and beat up, like an old shoe.

That's great! as long as it doesn't make good liquor taste taste like an old shoe.

I always like it when Kent shows up with trail beer back pack. It's a little custom thing he had made up for hiking into those high lakes. He has a hard time loosing me when he's wearing this.:)
