Sharing an idea = Feather Inlays

I started using Future Floor Finish, an acrylic liquid, for doing feather inlays. So far I have completed somewhere between 40-50 rods using this material, some that have had a lot of use in the past two years. I also use Rod Smith finish over this to finish the rod and there has been no adverse reaction. I am on my second bottle of the stuff, really cheap compared to preservative, and am very happy with the results. Just wanted to share something that has worked for me.

PS: I only use this for the feather inlays, not on any of the wraps, etc.

I've only done one inlay, and used CP. I liked it because you could start all over by wiping it off with a wet rag. Can you do the same with the floor finish?

I've only had to redo one. After I had carefully removed the feathers I cleaned the rod outside with a mixture of ammonia and Armstrong floor cleaner. Got it right off. If it's still wet I just wipe it off with a wet rag.
