I proudly accept the hoarder title. I will never stop adding flies. I love tying.

I don't have the time to take 1,345 photos of my fly boxes :D

Seriously, I fish for many different species so I have far too many fly boxes. I think when I die, my wife will use them to build a fence the length of our property.

Or you can leave them to me in your will. I wouldnt want to burden your wife with such decisions :D

Ha Ha, this reminds me of the fly vest thread. I carry about ten or so boxes with me and have thousands of fly's at home. What I hate is to have an empty slot in my box's. I am truly a hoarder in fly fishing crap, oh I mean stuff. I take some pics, a little embarrassing.

That's it? That's all? :) I think I have about 25 boxes but then, I have flies in containers all over the house. Rarely a day goes by that I don't find a container with a bunch of flies in it and I have one box large box with all the flies I have ever received in fly swaps. Unfortunately, I have never integrated them into the day boxes I use so there are some pretty nices ties just sitting. Now that I am retired, I tie almost every day, trying to build up some skill. I'm slowly getting better but I have a lot of flies that could just as well be cut off the hooks from years past when I didn't tie for months at a time.

Wow! Nice collection of flies. I'm not near as neat. The top of my desk is covered with fly boxes, some open and some closed. Also, loose flies, flies in the little plastic containers from fly shops, flies stuck in foam pads, and I bet a few stuck in the carpet under the desk. Maybe someday the OCD bug will bite and I'll organize them all, but more likely I will just go fishing.

I used to carry up to 7 or 8 fly boxes with me when I went fishing. I have since pared them down to 4 double sided boxes. I get all my flies in those boxes. I would go out and get them out of my truck to take pictures of them, but you all know what fly boxes look like when full so I'm not going to. Hell, I even keep these neat.

Nice collection you got. I have a box of dries and crustaceans I didn't post but I've only been fly fishing for a year and tying for four months. Im just starting to really excel in all aspects of the sport. And Jim. No we don't know what your legendary fly boxes look like. Thats the point of this thread. Let's see what ya got! If nothing else it gives you ideas for tying patterns.

It's funny how boxes evolve over the years. This is how I rolled on the way to MT four years ago.

Two years later, there was a lot less visible blue in my streamer boxes.

Last year, I pared it back down again.
