for the more experienced boaters in the sound. Do any of you use a small zodiac to chase fish in the sound? Say 10 or 12 feet with a 8-10HP engine? I wonder if this is a reasonable (as opposed to death-defying) boat for fishing the sound. The advantage is it could be deflated and fit in my rig (a RAV 4).

    thanks for the advice.

They are fine. We are running an inflatable right now and really like it. Ours has two pedistal seats that make it very comfortable and they make a very nice platform for casting. We run a 10 horse Honda that pushes it along ok. All in all it has become a preferred tender for the big boat and is more comfortable than our 13' whaler.
