Never done it but would really like to give it a shot. I live near Gig Harbor and wondering if anyone knows of some opportunities to hook into some smallmouth bass on a fly near by.

    Spanaway has some toad SM.
You can rent a boat there as well if you don't have a craft. The fellow that runs the boat rental is named Bud.
If the SM aren't happening, you can fish for browns and bows.
Many of the biggest browns are caught by guys bass fishing.

I may have to drag my pontoon boat down there. Thanks!

Check with the guys at Gig Harbor Fly Shop....there's a group of bass fly anglers that visit there often, and keep the shop up-to-date.
