This week has been excellent Snooking from the beach. Beach's are loaded with Pilchard's. All fish were caught on a 5" White/Chartreuse baitfish pattern. image.jpg image.jpg image.jpg

Great job! Those are some really nice snook for an 8wt. I've come close to catching one on the fly, but have not closed the deal yet.

I need a new Nautilus for my 8wt. Looking at getting the CCF-X2 because I love my CCF's. I dig therr custom colors, but wont be getting anything custom myself.

Beautiful fish. I've hooked a few, but never landed one. I've fished for them in the mangroves; great fight one or two spectacular leaps, like steelhead, then a run that wraps my leader around the mangrove roots and off. Guess I should try fishing for them off the beaches.
    Congratulations

Don't forget the vicious take. This has been my experience with snook as well. And they weren't nearly as big as the ones in these photos.

Great looking fish. I've got my trip to Florida booked for October, looking forward to another chance at some snook.

Beauty fish! That Scott S4s 2 piece is a nice stick. One of my favourite salt rods for sure.
