South Bend 359 Bamboo Rod

    9' 3-piece, one tip, refinished bamboo rod. The cork grip is South Bend's unique "comficient" design, with a thumb rest and ventilation. The rod has all new guides and finish. I made a new mid-section according to the original rod taper, to replace the short section that came with the rod (see below). This was one of South Bend's better models. Casts a WF6 with lots of power, and would be a nice first bamboo rod.

    The short mid-section shown in the picture came with the rod. A previous owner had filed it down to fit the ferrules, making for a funny looking, but not too bad casting, 7-1/2' rod when assembled. It's clunky, but you get two rods for the price of one!

    I'm asking $125.

    These rods can cast a big fly a long way with a long belly WF line while still being capable of a light landing with a DT. They have a nice easy casting rhythm.

    A great price for a good medium to big water rod.
