Dave it is a series of short films with a bunch of trout bums fishing all over the world. Great fishing loud music and lots of door prizes. jesse
Talked to the film tour guys yesterday and the online tickets are sold out. Don't miss out get you stubs soon at your local fly shop. jesse
I've got my ticket....but all the crabby old farts tell me I won't much like it. Hope there's no loud music. If'n I spike my combover into a mohawk will I fit in with all you punkety young trout bums?
You will love it Krusty. It is basically several short fishing documentaries showing refined gentlemen in tweed jackets, fishing bamboo rods on small streams. This is accompnied by tasteful classical music. Typical dress code is business formal, although you will see an occassion tuxedo. Enjoy jesse
Drats! I suppose wearing my winter spats, offset by my Parker shooting jacket, and swordfish bill swagger stick would lend an excessively casual air to such an august assembly? Will opera glasses be useful? Who would have thought that little Spokaloo would display such interest in sportsmen of my esteemed social strata!
Jesse...my sincere thanks for hosting the Fly Fishing Film Tour at the Bing. Despite the rather obvious under-representation of landed gentry in the audience, it was a most enjoyable evening. It could only have been improved with more footage of my beloved English chalk streams, more tweed, and more gentlemen sporting cane rods! I can't comment on the music, because my hearing-aids were (thankfully) on the fritz. After the entertaining punk rock clip, I was half expecting that a geriatric 'mosh pit' might develop.
