Alrighty, so I thought I'd give this whole fly swap a try. I really wish I had paid attention to this part of the board before. So I missed the reverse spider swap, so not to copy cat I'd like to do a general SRC swap. Anybody interested?

Deadline - October 30th (how is that for deadlines go?)

Any freshwater fly you have caught SRC with. If you have never caught an SRC then a pattern from any book that says it catches SRC. Questions? Suggestions? I'm open to other ideas.

I am interested if we get enough people. What are the specifics? What will be the deadline?

Wow, all these tough questions. This is the first swap I've participated in. I read the sticky.

    5 people - 20 flies 1-5 patterns
    6 people - 20 flies 1-4 patterns
    7 People - 18 flies 1-3 patterns
    8 people - 21 flies 1-3 patterns
    9 people - 16 flies 1-2 patterns
    10 people - 18 flies 1-2 patterns

Deadline - October 30th (how is that for deadlines go?)

you may want to designate whether this is for salt or freshwater flies.
I am open to tying a couple patterns depending on how many people sign up.

    Scott,

So what do we need to tie? 1 pattern for 10 flies? 1 pattern for 20 flies?
    2 patterns X 10 each for 20 flies total?
Just need clarification before i whip these things out this weekend.

    Thanks.

Alright, so We'll close it at the 6 people we have. Let's do 2 patterns x 10 flies.

2 patterns by 10? or 2 patterns by 5? this way everyone ties 10 flies, and gets 10 different ones back.

Is 20 overkill? I don't mind tying that many up, but if that's too many then we can lower it to 15 or 10... Votes?

Yes, let's do 20 each. 2 x 10. That way everyone gets 2 of each pattern.

Ok... I might tie a couple variations but you'll get 10 of each pattern

10 black rev spiders are ready to go...
I'll tie up 10 more spiders and call it good :)

Alright, my question is, if there are 7 people then shouldn't it be 2 flies per person for a total of 14 flies? I can do whatever, just want to make sure i understand also. I can tie 20 and Scott can just keep the extras??

There are 6 people... so, you are tying for 5. If you tie 20 then each person will get 4 of your flies, 2 of each design. Did I miss someone?
