I don't know about the rivers in Washington but we get a good summer run in Oregon that's good till Oct. It would be great to tie up some flies for late summer/fall.

There was a question asked; "Is this for real steelhead flies for swinging or are patterns like eggs, nymphs, leaches and other bait going to be allowed?" Nymphs, leaches, and other bait fall into lots of categories. Eggs are just too easy.

2 of any swinging steelhead pattern. Deadline June 24

    6 IN - 5.9.6 - CLOSED - Start tying!

Ringlee -IN Signal Light and a Orange Creation of my own. - RECEIVED
Mike Doughty - IN Variation of the intruder and a purple brat - RECEIVED
Cabezon - IN Purple rolled muddler and an October caddis skater pattern
    Philster -IN
Stephen Rice - IN Modified Patricia and a Freight Train - RECEIVED
    James Mello - IN

I'm out, due date is 2 days after I return from 3 week fishing trip so I will not be able to make the deadline. Next time.

I would love to join. I'll tie a surface pattern, a bomber or Waller waker.

:D You can count me in. I am going to do a variation on a patricia. Instead of using Cherise, I use brown kauffmans wool with imitation Polar Bear for the wing. it works pretty good on the Washougal.

What do think everyone, should we close this one and go with 6 tyers.

6 tyers 2 patterns each? We'll get some nice flies and get this one going?

Let me know what you think...

Six copies each of two patterns sounds fine to me.

    Folks,

Kindly note that I edited my original post on 5/5 to indicate that I could not participate due to scheduling conflict with due date.

<I'm out, due date is 2 days after I return from 3 week fishing trip so I will not be able to make the deadline. Next time.>

    Regards,

Ok we are ready to go.:thumb:

So we don't wind up with 12 sets of Green butt skunks or 12 sets of Hit Man I think it best we should announce our patterns in advance.

    First come first serve!

I'll work on a purple rolled muddler and an October caddis skater pattern (maybe two different versions: one with hair, one with foam).
